Charles Hawes

Sr. Wealth Management Advisor

Charles Hawes is a Senior Wealth Management Advisor with Legacy Edge Advisors. Prior to this role, he brings his 19 years of experience as an advisor at TIAA.  He comes with a mastery in Investments, Income Planning, Tax Strategies, Will and Estate Planning, and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM as well as an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistTM. Charles or “Chuck” Hawes sees his role as an advisor to create an in-depth client experience focusing on excellence in customer service, execution of strategies in the fullness of complex details (“finishing the job”), and coordination with other experts such as professional money managers at Legacy Edge Advisors, attorneys, and tax accountants.

Chuck leans on a rich experience serving at TIAA as an Executive Wealth Management Advisor with complex clients from the Higher Education and Medical Fields. Chuck has a passion for integrating investment and tax strategy with risk management and coordination alongside specific family needs – customized to the client’s vision for themselves and their future inheritors or charitable causes. He actively seeks to integrate ideas from outside professionals and feels it is important to create a highly communicative environment, ultimately to foster collaboration in the best interest of his clients.

Chuck graduated from California State University, Sacramento (Sac State – “Stingers up!”) with a Bachelor of Arts, English.  He earned his Financial Planning Certificate in 2004 from Metro State University, Denver.

Chuck is married to Susan Hawes - a homemaker - and they have three children.  They are sending their oldest to Rensselaer Polytechnic University this year and have two teenagers still at home.  Chuck serves on the Financial Board of his local church, and both Susan and Chuck are avid volunteers at Denver Christian School.  Chuck enjoys cycling, golf, and skiing in his time off, and can be frequently found cheering his children on in sports and the fine arts.
