Carlos Prince
Wealth Management Advisor
Carlos Alberto Prince is a Wealth Management Advisor at Legacy Edge Advisors. In his role, he is responsible for leading critical discussions with families about their dreams and aspirations in an effort to lead them to and through retirement. In this customized process, he uses various financial instruments at his fingertips to position appropriate solutions for challenges that may have been identified during his premium white glove financial planning service.
Carlos began his financial services career over 25 years ago where he assisted clients in financing the pinnacle of The American Dream…home ownership. This dream is something very coveted to he and his family as he is a first-generation immigrant himself from the beautiful nation of Colombia, South America. It would be impossible to discuss Carlos’s achievements or success without highlighting the resilient village that created who he is as a son, father, husband and member of his community. His mother Edna was the first person in his entire family to immigrate to the U.S as she sacrificed everything she knew to pioneer a legacy here in America that Carlos continues to build upon today. Part of Carlos’ relentless commitment to continuing his mother’s legacy is done through fighting in the trenches of the very same community he serves. This includes organizations that provide help for financial literacy, women’s rights, those with limited resources and Latino initiatives. Carlos can’t help but to fight for these cherished causes as if these tools were available for his mother, her road would have been significantly improved throughout her life. These roots helped make him successful in several financial advisor roles, most recently at TIAA and Merrill Lynch prior to joining Legacy Edge Advisors.
Additionally, Carlos is the very first person in his family to graduate college with a 4-year degree. He started his college career at Miami University and completed his Organizational Leadership degree at Wilmington University where he was elected to the Academic Honor Society Delta Epsilon Rho and graduated Cum Laude. Carlos speaks his native tongue Spanish fluently along with English. His most important role in life however is that of Daddy to his theatre-loving daughter Gabriella, 12 and his guitar-wielding son Julian, 9. He proudly gets a front row seat at games as he coaches them and their teammates in baseball, softball and soccer for Del-Riv Youth Sports Association.
